It seemed very shady and deceptive that I had to question so many times to get all the information. None of these things were explained by the original technician. ![]() She also stated that supplying a credit card was just optional. She said they dont charge the card unless the insurance doesnt cover everything once they submit it for payment. I told her that wasnt going to happen, but did they need the credit card information just in case. She resisted, at first, and then brought another woman in who said that the $110 was an estimate of what was going to be my charge if the tests were not 100% covered by insurance. I expressed that there must be someone else I could talk to in the office. She, again, said there would be a $110 fee. I explained that I confirmed with my insurance company that I had no payment with my plan. When I went back to get my blood drawn after the call to the insurance company, I got the same technician. They confirmed I wouldnt have to make any payment for bloodwork. I decided to leave the appointment and call my insurance company. She said she didnt know, that was what the computer was telling her. I said this isnt right because *** never had to pay anything before. I went to Quest Diagnostic on the morning of for retesting of some bloodwork.I want to first disclose, I have never had to pay for any bloodwork through my insurance that I have had for over *************************************************************************** the different tests and said that I would owe them $110. I went to the clinic and the bloodwork was done there. She asked me if I had gone "online" and I said I had completed the registration over the phone. The woman who stepped into the waiting room was informed that my appointment was not showing on the kiosk. I tried to get someone behind the sliding frosted glass to speak with me and was ignored. I typed in everything correctly and then was informed that there was no appointment scheduled for me. ![]() I had to use a kiosk that would scan my driver's license. When I arrived at the facility prior to my appointment, I was not allowed to check in with a human being. This was repeated to me and I wrote all of the information on a piece of paper. ![]() I was also given a confirmation code of LGYDDZ. I had my choice of appointment time and chose Friday, August 4, 2023, at 9:10 a.m. The automated system asked me to identify which location I wished to have the bloodwork done. Oak Street Health has a contract with Quest Diagnostics. On Thursday, August 3, 2023, I called Quest Diagnostics at ************ to schedule bloodwork my new health care provider needed prior to my wellness checkup on August 15, 2023. ![]()
